I strongly recommend you call ahead to make sure the farm is open and their hours fit your busy schedules. Many of these places are not in our immediate area and some have websites without updated information. I'd hate for you to haul the kids in the car and drive out East only to find the farm closed. A fun family event that would not make (she wrote in her best yoda impersonation).

White Post Farms: Now - October 6 is the Fall Farm Festival. For an extra charge, you can pick pumpkins in their own pumpkin patch! Pumpkins are priced by the pound and are available for purchase at an additional charge to the Fall Festival. Located at 250 Old Country Road in Melville. 631-351-9373
Wickham's Fruit Farm: To participate in the U-Pick you must join their Fruit Farm Club and be a registered member. No strollers allowed. Located at 28700 Main Road in Cutchogue. 631-734-6441.
Windy Acres Farm: Upick pumpkin patch, corn maze and harides. Located at 3810 Middle Country Road in Calverton. 631-727-4554
Woodside Orchards: Apple picking. They have 2 locations. Apuebogue Orchard is located at 729 Main Road. Jamesport Orchard is located at 116 Manor Lane in Riverhead. 631-722-5770. They have semi-dwarf apple trees making them ideal for all ages to pick.
