If you checked out the Long Beach-Oceanside Facebook page last week, I was updating my status as my day progressed letting you all know about my Phineas and Ferb Adventure. My family was fortunate enough to be invited to a Disney's Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Show Ever! event. Many people have asked me about it so I thought I would update those of you not following my day on Facebook (which you should like my FB page because I announce lots of giveaways and update info throughout the week).
We had a fantastic time at the event. I took the girls into the city on the LIRR by myself. I must admit, I was nervous about it but the girls were great listeners and did AMAZING. We met my hubby at Penn Station which was also where we met our very stylish, comfortable, luxurious chariot. Ok, it was a bus but both Mark and I agreed it was the nicest bus we've ever been in (the entire top of the bus was a sunroof so you saw the sky as you drove - very cool). I had a lot of fun meeting other mommy bloggers and their kids, as well as two actors from the Phineas and Ferb show (Tiffany who was Agent P and Bartley who was Dr. Doofenshmirtz). They traveled on the bus with us to Bridgeport, CT entertaining the kids with trivia and games - Emma started a round of I Spy. When we got to the arena we were greeted with a reception, met the producers and were given tickets to see the show that night. The girls LOVED the show and Mark and I had a great time. The music was awesome and we both laughed our butts off at one of the musical numbers - Squirrels In My Pants. Honestly, it's a show for everyone. Totally fun.
Now, for all of you who told me they were jealous because their kids are HUGE fans of Phineas and Ferb, don't despair...the show is coming to Nassau Coliseum on April 19-20 and I'm working on getting you a discount code for tickets. Stay tuned...
