River Reporters: A Kid's Perspective of Camp

Can dinosaurs swim? This week at camp, as a fake dinosaur attempted to swim in our pool, the campers learned real dinosaur facts during a special show! We learned about different fossils and got to pick out rare rocks to take home. It was fun since we learned from an interactive show rather than a textbook. Earlier in the week, parents became campers as they came to visit during Visiting Days. Parents got to see ​their kids do special activities and all the fun things we do at camp. Our families got to see our swim skills, sport skills, and even got treated to the ice cream we eat every day! I think they love Rolling River as much as we do! We had a week of rain and extreme heat, but it didn't ruin our days. We had loads of fun having dance parties, roller skating, intramural sports, and off campus trips. We are halfway through summer and the fun continues!
