Ah, summer. That magical time of year when you plan your schedule around those perfect moments outside.
You picture it: comfortable chair, a little shade, a gentle breeze, kids playing nicely in the yard…
…and then—
“PUT THAT HOSE DOWN! YOU CAN’T WASH MOMMY’S CAR—THE WINDOWS ARE OPEN!”
(Deep breath. The neighbors are watching.)
“It’s okay, honey. Totally fine. Please get your sister… she has dirt in her mouth. Also—quick question—did you leave the gate open? Where is the dog?”
Eventually, calm returns. You sit back down with your iced tea, admiring your kingdom.
WHAM.
You smack your ear as a mosquito floats on away like a tiny fairy who pays rent. Sound familiar? Yeah… sorry. Anyway—that last part? That’s what we’re here to fix.
First: Know Your Enemy
Mosquito control only makes sense if you understand the mosquito.
- They’re weak flyers and rely on numbers
- They eat sugar—but females need blood (you) to lay eggs
- Only females bite
- And yes… they also do all the work. I’m not getting involved beyond that.
The Real Problem: Eggs Everywhere
Once a female gets a blood meal, she looks for water.
And by “water,” we mean:
- A bottle cap
- The bottom of your garbage can
- That mystery puddle from your last BBQ
FUN FACT: A mosquito can lay dozens of eggs in a tiny amount of water.

Those eggs can sit for months—through heat, cold, whatever—just waiting for the right conditions.
So, when that garbage bag “juice” leaks into the can on the way out… congratulations. You may have just opened a mosquito nursery.
Life is beautiful.
From Egg to Bite (Fast)
Those eggs hatch into larvae—little swimmers that go up for air, down to feed, all day long.
Think shmorg. And, no, they’re not skipping a single course. Within days, they transform, rise up… and emerge flying.
Now they’re hanging out:
- Under leaves
- Beneath decks
- Inside gutters
- On that nice light fixture you just installed
Basically: cool, shaded hiding spots.
Why They Love You
Mosquitoes don’t like sun. They prefer shade—like the back of your ankle, which is apparently a five-star restaurant. They also don’t travel far. Most stay close to where they hatch. And yes—they’re attracted to you. Body heat, carbon dioxide… and smell.
(But mostly you.)
So How Does Mosquito Control Actually Work?
At this point, you should be asking:
- What does this mean?
- How do you stop it?
- And how do I make my neighbor more attractive than me?

Here’s the reality:
You can’t eliminate mosquitoes completely.
It’s outdoors. Let’s stay grounded.
But you can break the cycle—and that’s where we come in.
What We Actually Do
There are three main goals:
1. Kill existing adult mosquitoes immediately
When we treat your property, we target the exact areas where mosquitoes rest—shaded, protected spots. That’s where they live.
2. Stop larvae from becoming biting adults
We treat standing water areas—even tiny ones—with a product that kills larvae and prevents eggs from developing.
So instead of becoming flying, biting adults… they’re stuck as little worms in a puddle of garbage juice.
(Sweet revenge.)
3. Make your property undesirable for new mosquitoes
We treat grass and shrubs so that:
- Mosquitoes don’t like landing there
- And if they do… it doesn’t end well for them
Even if they try to push through, every landing works against them.

From egg to biting mosquito takes about two weeks.
