Description
An exceptional, educational, teacher training module, Yoga For Cancer, presented by Rita Trieger will help yoga teachers and health care professionals develop specific skills to teach healing yoga for people who are currently suffering with, or have suffered from cancer. This comprehensive training will provide an overview of anatomy, asana, and psychology, as well as some yoga philosophy. Participants will learn specific techniques and modalities, along with their adaptations, to help cancer patients and survivors deal with the common symptoms associated with their illness, the secondary effects of treatment, and the aftermath of having this terrible disease.
Yoga For Heart Disease presented by Rita Trieger, who has been certified in the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for the Reversal of Heart Disease, and served as the stress management facilitator for six cohorts at Stamford Hospital's Integrative Medicine Department as well as case manager for five cohorts at Stamford's Intensive Cardio Rehab. Yoga teachers and health care professionals will learn specific skills and techniques to help relieve stress and offer gentle movement for people who are currently suffering with, or have suffered from heart disease.
