Macaroni Craft: A “Handy” Menorah

By Kim McNeill, Publishing Mom Macaroni Kid Southbury, CT December 21, 2011
This is a simple craft for children to celebrate Chanukah.

Materials:

  • white paper
  • orange or yellow paint
  • contrasting color of paint
  • glitter glue
  • optional: construction paper

Instructions:

  • Paint the child's finger tips on one hand with yellow or orange paint.
  • Use the other color of paint to cover the rest of the fingers and palm.
  • Press the child's hands open onto a white piece of paper.
  • Repeat with the other hand. If the thumb prints overlap it will look more like a menorah.
  • Use glitter glue to draw a stand for the menorah.
  • If you'd like, glue the white paper onto a piece of construction paper.
